Pro Bono Program

Celebrate Pro Bono Week!

Pro Bono Week 2011 events will take place the last 2 weeks of October from October 20-October 26. Our Pro Bono Week events kick off with the NLS Champions of Justice Luncheon at the Peppermill on October 20. Please see our News/Events page for more information or contact Renee Kelly at (775) 284-3491.

Thank you for your interest in the ProBono Program at NLS.

While the staff at NLS provides free assistance to low income Nevadans, the number of requests for our assistance far surpasses the size of our staff. Every year the number of potential clients calling our offices increases while the size of our staff remains largely the same. That is where you come in. The provision of legal assistance to people in need is increasingly dependent on the involvement of volunteer attorneys.

NLS is currently in the process of expanding our Pro Bono Program and need all the volunteers we can get to increase our current panel. In addition to directly assisting clients by taking a case, volunteers can also contribute in a variety of ways. Please click on the links below for more information. Attorneys can co-counsel with the staff at NLS, answer calls on our Senior Helpline, and volunteer time at our Tenant's Rights Center.

We currently have opportunities for attorneys and non-attorneys in all of our offices. To join the Pro Bono panel, please contact Renee Kelly, Pro Bono Coordiantor, at (775) 284-3491.
