Public Benefits

Nevada Legal Services assists low income individuals in a range of issues regarding public benefits. These include Food Stams or SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), SSI (Supplemental Security Income), Medicaid, and county based assistance programs.

We help applicants who are denied an application for public benefits appeal the denial of their application for assistance and also assist those already receiving public benefits if the Nevada State Welfare Division, Social Security Administration, or county social services agency seeks to terminate that assistance.
